Overview
Scenthound is a revolutionary concept in the pet industry, providing dogs the care they deserve and giving dog parents a simple way to stay on top of their dog's health.
We are hiring (2) two Scenter Managers (our version of a Store Manager) for our now open Dunwoody, GA Scenter and our soon to open Atlanta - Chastain Square, GA Scenter.
In this role you will lead the charge as we develop the Greater Atlanta Metropolitan Area, educating dog parents, and removing barriers to bring dogs the routine care they need on a monthly basis.
The Scenter Manager is the primary supervisory position in our organization. Supervising all Scenter personnel - including leading hiring, performance reviews, career development, associate certifications, safety compliance, and scheduling.
Additionally, the Scenter Manager is also responsible and accountable for the development of their Scenter's Revenue Growth - driving Membership Sales & Retention, local marketing plan development & execution, and representing the Scenthound brand in the Dunwoody community.
Lastly, ALL Scenthound Northern Atlanta associates can and will be called on at times to provide dogs our E-scentials service, which includes: Bathing, Ear Cleaning, Nail Trimming, & Teeth Brushing.

Compensation
$35,000 - $40,000 per year plus 20% annual Performance Bonus Target.

This Position Requires:
- One to Two (1-2) year Retail Store Management or Veterinary Clinic/Hospital experience - in a supervisory capacity
- Willingness to work in an entrepreneurial environment - both a flexible mindset to the role & a flexible mindset regarding the work schedule
- Reliable Daily transportation
- Strength to lift up to 50 pounds; stamina to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to patiently interact with, bathe, and assess Dogs.
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
- Two to Three (2-3) year Dog Grooming experience or completion of a grooming training academy curriculum.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach & mentor team members in a culture-first environment
- Effective communication with team members and dog parents (verbal & written)
- Proficient & efficient computer skills (MacOS, Microsoft Office, Internet, E-mail)
- Attention to detail, Willingness to take initiative & adapt when necessary
- Strong Time-management skills to multi-task and supervise both short-term and long-term tasks & responsibilities
- Ability to self-critique; hold oneself to high standards of delivering results
Primary Managerial / Leadership Tasks
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to all Scenter associates - demonstrating Scenthound's DNA & Values through personal example.
- Create an environment conducive to learning, open communication, and teamwork
- Lead the hiring process for all new Scenter Associates and evaluation/promotion process for all existing Scenter Associates - in partnership with Franchise Groomer
- Own Delivery of Key Revenue Metrics (Memberships - Quantity and Average Value & Upsell/Product Revenues) and Cost Metrics (Labor Efficiency Ratio) through effective use of Scenter Associate training, scheduling, and physical resources
- Lead On-Going Scenter Audits - Inventory, Safety, Payroll, Revenue, etc. - as required by Franchise Groomer, Franchise President, Scenthound Corporate, and State/Local Government Regulators.
- Ensure the safety of dogs and team members at all times
- Design/Ensure implementation of Scenter quality control efforts and Daily & Weekly Scenter cleaning procedures
- Deliver outstanding customer service and organizational skills to ensure a great experience & expectations for the Dog Parent
- Accountable for CRM Software Data Input Accuracy, Cash Drawer and Daily Cash Handling for both Opening & Closing Store procedure
- Partner with telemarketing group on coordinating Member conversion/retention activities & scheduling of service appointments.
- Responsible for maintaining and communicating Emergency Response Plan to all Scenter associates - filing of ANY Incident Reports in a timely manner
- From time to time, perform Bathing / Grooming services on all Dogs: (a) Comb, brush, and de-mat dog's fur to remove all tangles, knots, and mats, (b) Wash Skin & Coat, Clean Ears, Brush Teeth, Trim Nails, Express Glands, (c) Towel Dry or Blow Dry dog's coat, (d) Trim Coat / Haircut - if qualified
- Complete an accurate S.C.E.N.T. check for every dog serviced with recommendations and wellness feedback to Dog Parents
- Advocate for all dogs in our care and in our community
- Personally, resolve any Dog Parent concern identified by Digital Marketing Agency or Front Desk Reception for escalation
- Deliver 15 Facebook posts per month to Digital Marketing Agency for use in Social Media marketing platform - tied to Monthly theme
- Recommend, to Franchise President, the upcoming Quarter's: (a) "Salute to" promotion theme, (b) Founders Loyalty Promotion, and (c) any marketing plan changes.
- Participate in Street Team Marketing Activities - handing out flyers &/or manning booths at events
- Start on growth path activities to become eligible for the Area Manager role
