The Senior Financial Analyst of Mergers & Acquisitions will play a key role in the execution of strategic transactions including acquisitions, joint ventures, investments, swaps, divestitures, and other structures designed to create long-term shareholder value. This position will be responsible for developing comprehensive presentations, financial models, valuation analyses, ad hoc data analysis, as well as a variety of other tasks to facilitate the evaluation, negotiation, and execution of M&A transactions. This position reports to the Director of Mergers & Acquisitions.
Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop various financial analyses, including financial modeling work (using multiple valuation methodologies) and transaction structure analyses
  • Analyze and review data in order to develop recommendations, answer questions and resolve problems
  • Partner with cross-divisional teams and external resources to conduct due diligence and create diligence summaries for senior leadership
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to senior leadership throughout all phases of an M&A transaction from strategy formation through final deal execution
  • Conduct industry analysis and competitive landscape studies
  • Maintain existing industry transaction comps, trading comps, benchmarking analyses and internal M&A pipeline report
  • Collaborate with peers across the enterprise to identify and adopt best practices and manage internal and external resources to deliver projects
  • Continuously learn from being exposed to deal sourcing, structuring, diligence, communication (internal/external), valuation, and documentation that are integral aspects of all deal execution
Qualifications: Required:
  • 3+ years of relevant financial analysis and/or planning experience required
  • Demonstrated track record of consistent high-level achievement
  • Superior skills in financial and quantitative analysis, including use of Excel and PowerPoint
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong written and oral communications and presentation skills
  • Effective collaborator able to work with teams and leaders throughout the organization
  • Strategic thinker and problem solver
  • Highly organized with strong ability to work independently, manage multiple projects with high visibility, high impact and tight timelines simultaneously
  • Continuous learner mindset focused on continuous improvement
  • Bachelors degree
  • Travel up to 15%
Preferred:
  • Experience with M&A, strategy or financial valuation is preferred
  • Telecommunications, Technology or Media industry experience is preferred
