Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
* Leads the day to day Human Resource operations for a large, complex entity under the guidance of the entity Vice President of Human Resources.
* Serves as a Strategic Human Resource Business Partner supporting the business goals of their assignment areas/ departments. .
* This includes advising on leadership changes or restructuring, change management, engagement strategies, talent management and performance management.
* Networks with entity leadership to better understand the human resources issues and needs of their diverse business units.
* Regularly coordinates with System Human Resource Leaders to meet the needs of the entity and to assure entity practices are consistent across the system.
* Assists in the development of the entity ¿s strategic human resources plans.
* Acts as a strategic partner to assigned leaders to drive key strategic initiatives relating to HR programs and services; providing a single source of contact.
* Supports leaders in navigating complexities through continuous process improvement, productivity, and creative staffing solutions to align HR support with organizational priorities.
* Develops and implements appropriate programs to respond to clients' needs.
* Monitors the effectiveness of the entity ¿s People Strategy initiatives and ensures they are reviewed periodically to respond to changing environments or needs.
* Analyzes metrics and trends to influence progressive programs and solutions.
* Includes identifying and analyzing talent implications and making recommendation on key business solutions and opportunities to influence recruitment, retention, employee engagement, performance management, care transformation, fair & just culture, diversity, equity and inclusion.
* Engages as appropriate, in complex employee relations cases and consults with Corporate Employee Relations as needed.
* Regularly reviews the log of employee relations cases to identify patterns and needs for training.
* Serves as a leader and mentor to the entity human resources team and develops them for career advancement.
* Identifies leadership development and evaluates and monitors success; serves as facilitator and instructor for key employee and leadership development programs.
* Oversees efforts to ensure leaders are keeping up with their staffs in annual regulatory compliance with HLC Regulatory modules, vaccination compliance, health assessments, and performance reviews.
* Serves as the entity Human Resource point person for Joint Commission. Ensures leaders ¿ staff files are current through regular audits and serves as the Human Resource lead during a Joint Commission visit.
* Prepares, administers and monitors departmental budgets.
* Manages staff and is responsible for departmental employment, training, performance management, and salary administration activities.
* Performs related responsibilities as required.
MINIMUM QUALFICATIONS:
* A bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field.
* A related master's degree is preferred.
* Seven years of professional experience in one or more relevant human resources specialties such as benefits, compensation or employment, which includes three years in a managerial or supervisory capacity. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (MediumMax 25lbs): up to 25 lbs, 0-33% of the work day (occasionally); 11-25 lbs, 34-66% of the workday (frequently); 01-10 lbs, 67-100% of the workday (constantly); Lifting 25 lbs max; Carrying of objects up to 25 lbs; Occasional to frequent standing & walking, Occasional sitting, Close eye work (computers, typing, reading, writing), Physical demands may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks. ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS: Factors affecting environment conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include, but are not limited to: Blood-borne pathogen exposure Bio-hazardous waste Chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors Communicable diseases Electrical shock, Floor Surfaces, Hot/Cold Temperatures, Indoor/Outdoor conditions, Latex, Lighting, Patient care/handling injuries, Radiation, Shift work, Travel may be required. Use of personal protective equipment, including respirators, environmental conditions may vary depending on assigned work area and work tasks.
