WHAT YOU GET TO DO


The HR Assistant collaborates with and provides support to the HR and Recruiting team and serves as a team member's initial point of contact. The ideal candidate holds an academic HR background combined with work experience in HR administration and best practices. The HR Assistant ensures that HR best practices are followed and performs a variety of administrative assignments and general office duties, as well as occasional special projects for the HR department.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Compile offer letters for new hires.
  • Process pre-employment background checks and drug tests.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements for candidates and new hires.
  • Participate in the onboarding of new employees and assist with facilitation of New Hire Orientation sessions.
  • Complete E-Verify for new hires.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of internal systems such as Microsoft Identify Manager (MIM), SAP, ADP, etc.
  • Assist with Leave of Absence, FMLA leave, and workers compensation claims by ensuring all documentation is collected and filed accordingly.
  • Complete Employment Verifications.
  • Organize and maintain employee files and medical records.
  • Assist with event planning for company events
  • Promote HR programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace in partnership with the Management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


WHAT YOU HAVE

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field strongly desired
  • One (1) to three (3) years' HR administrative experience preferred
  • Strong administrative skills, including organization and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
  • Working knowledge of ADP Workforce Now and/or SAP strong desired
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing HR best practices
