As such, CarMax Compliance Services Audit, in partnership with CAF Legal, performs a variety of testing/audits to assess CarMax's operational compliance with applicable state and federal laws, regulations, frameworks or other guidelines, as well as internal policies and procedures to ensure compliance with requirements. As an Auditor II, you will work with associates in different roles throughout the organization and at all levels in CarMax Auto Finance (CAF) and CarMax to assess the company's compliance with regulatory requirements and policies. Additionally, this role will gather compliance evidence documents and assist in fulfilling external examination document gathering and build out compliance training for compliance associates with direction from Senior Auditor and higher level compliance audit associates.What you'll do Assist in the execution of operational regulatory compliance audits. Perform testing to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and regulations in a complex multi-state environment and gather documentation evidence. Assist in the development of value-added services (i.e. process improvements and best practice policies) for different operational areas, with guidance from Sr. Auditors and Compliance Managers, to make recommendations to ensure compliance or process improvements, including training and process documentation completion and consolidation system storage.Help facilitate, gather and test documentation required for compliance audits, services provider compliance audits, CarMax product reviews, store audits, external examinations, conduit banks reviews, and securitization parties - all within the scope of operational regulatory compliance.Partner with associates in Treasury, Internal Audit, Financial Reporting, Accounting, and external auditors/examiners and others as needed to facilitate requests made, training needed, workpapers organized and consistent quality, remediation documented, and policies and procedures consolidated. You'll help us continue to build a compliance audit function that uses a strong analytical mindset, data analysis tools and techniques, curiosity and strong business writing to ensure our organization offers an iconic customer experience.Qualifications and requirementsBachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field and 2 - 4 years of audit, compliance, or process improvement experience, or 7+ years relevant formal compliance or audit experience in lieu of a degree.CPA, CIA, or CISA a plus. Strong background in internal controls and compliance.
