Candidates with the ability to to prepare journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance, and general ledger reconciliation and be responsible for many aspects of internal reporting during the monthly close will be preferred. In this role, you will participate in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules reporting processes. Do you have a complex understanding of Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets? If so, you'll be preferred for this role.

Responsibilities

- Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll

- Ad-hoc reporting and special projects, as requested

- Coordinate and analyze a variety of financial data, then report it in a way that is useful and understandable

- Produce analyses for monthly balance sheets and income statements for reporting by management

- Implement, maintain, and adhere to internal controls and accounting procedures ensuring compliance with GAAP

- Conduct month end close and compose journal entries with minimal supervision

- Partake in various department-wide initiatives

- Support the month end, quarter end and year end closing process, which includes monthly financial close workbook preparation

- Maintain depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation

- Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations

- Manage intercompany billings, transactions, and reconciliation

- Recurring journal entries maintenance and reconciliation

- Manage schedules for capital lease and monthly payments

Requirements

- At least one accounting internship

- Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines

- Strong analytical skills, accuracy and attention to detail

- Strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills required

- Competent with spreadsheets and databases

- GAAP Accounting experience highly desired

- Foundational knowledge in Full Cycle Accounting

- Knowledge of Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation and Accounting Entries

- Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity

- Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

- BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting

- Be detailed, flexible, and organized

- Knowledgeable of ERP systems
