Description
This matrixed role will support the FP&A and Ops Finance teams in performing in-depth analysis of the business, building financial models to support data driven business decisions, partnering with business leaders throughout the organization in solving for increased operational efficiency and completing month-end close responsibilities.
The individual will be expected to be in office 5 days a week for the first 3 months and will have the flexibility to work from home for up to 2 days a week from thereon.
Essential Functions:
• Manage Cost Center P&L Analysis and work with Department Leads to answer follow-up questions
• Perform Warehouse and Operational analytics on a recurring basis to assist the Director of Ops-Finance with strategic decision making and heading off operational inefficiencies
• Assist in the capital approval process by reviewing ROC business cases from the segments
• Assist in the build of the business' budget and prepare monthly forecasts, tracking organizational performance to budget and forecast as well as partner with leaders in the business to understand the variances
• Lead monthly analysis, accruals and account reconciliations of commissions and royalty expenses
• Own the customer rebate program: roll in monthly results to record rebate earned, record the liability and issue credit memos or payments as required. Meet with Sales team monthly to align on forecast for the remainder of the year. Analyze customer performance and the overall rebate program to identify opportunities for the business to extract additional value from the program.
• Prepare and manage a working capital model to assist in managing organizational liquidity
• Prepare logistics and inventory analytics to improve existing processes and drive EBITDA improvement
• Create and manage ad hoc models, Power BI dashboards and area specific analytics that support and give insight to business leaders and the executive team on the overall health and performance of the organization as well as drive data driven strategic decision making
• Assist with special projects related to M&A and integration
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of experience in Finance or Cost Accounting
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI and Outlook)
• Previous Finance/Accounting experience within a manufacturing or warehousing environment
• Strong knowledge of finance, accounting, inventory, and operations
• Strong ability to analyze financial data and prepare ad-hoc financial reports, statements and projections as needed. Critical thinking and initiative are a must to succeed in this role.
