Performance Team and Damco Distribution, now part of the Maersk global organization under a combined Warehousing & Distribution division, offer third party logistics services to over 500 customers. Encompassing almost 15 million square feet of warehousing capacity throughout the country and a large transportation segment capturing a variety of services, we have key supply chain hubs in the Los Angeles and New Jersey/New York areas, and other facilities along the Western & Eastern coasts along with multiple locations in the Midwest. We have delivered significant sales and profitability growth over the last 8 years and will drive the Inland Logistics and Services business for the combined US business units for Maersk.

Description

We are open to this position being based in either Savannah, GA or Chicago, IL.

Summary:

The Driver Recruiting Manager will lead a team dedicated to driver recruitment. The position will build a comprehensive recruiting strategy and build insightful KPIs to be communicated to leadership and their customers, the operations. Understanding the driver market and evolution of technology the position requires a continuous improvement mindset to build and maintain a best-in-class driver recruitment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Understanding business scope and needs
* Developing strong relationships with operational leaders
* Development and execution of driver recruitment strategy
* Management of up to 3 driver recruiters
* Pipeline reporting
* KPI reporting
* Creation of job advertisements
* Organizing and executing job hiring events
* Fielding driver candidate inquiries and following up with candidates to support conversions
* Effective communication to all levels of organization
* Process optimization to minimize onboarding timeline
* Work with Terminal Managers, Operational Executives and Temporary Staffing Agencies

Required Experience & Skills:

* Recruiting experience required
* Knowledge of recruitment platforms
* Knowledge of MS Office products
* Strong communication skills, verbal and written
* Customer and driver focused
* Adaptive to change and able to work well under pressure
* Self-driven and motivated
* Organized

Key Measures for Success:

* Count of drivers hired
* Requisition completion timeliness
* Conversion rates
* Cost per hire
* Driver onboarding turn time
