Job description
Position Summary
This position is responsible for assessing the needs, designing and implementing a best-in-class training division through a blended learning approach. Responsible for the effective development, coordination and presentation of training and development programs for all mortgage employees. Actively search, creatively design and implement effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Regularly meets with managers and leaders of departments to understand the business outcomes essential for their success.
Design and deliver employee training programs (e.g. individual, team, and skill-based training)
Evaluate needs of mortgage division and plan training programs accordingly
Develop, implement, and monitor training programs
Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations
Create testing and evaluation processes
Assist in preparation and implementation of training budget
Conduct performance evaluations for training staff if applicable
Manage staff of classroom facilitators as appropriate
Work with mentors to plan, deliver, and evaluate on-the-job training initiatives
Build solid cross-functional relationships
Provide logistical support, course development, delivery, evaluation, process measurements, and cost management.
Plan the implementation and facilitation of activities and events, budget spending, material production and distribution, and other resources to ensure that operations are managed within authorized budgets.
Hold training team accountable for delivering elite results based on pre-determined goals and initiatives
Embrace and champion FirstBank's core values and strategic initiatives
Model safe and sound mortgage banking procedures, including adherence to applicable laws and regulations, internal controls, operational procedures, risk management policies, and security protocols
Regular and reliable attendance.
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Bachelor's degree preferred with coursework in Organizational Development, Instructional Design or related discipline and/or equivalent experience
Experience
5-10 years of experience in training in the financial services/mortgage industry
preferred, experience in both retail and online mortgage lines of business preferred
