Summary

Responsible for assisting in full-cycle recruitment and partial onboarding, management of staffing agencies and internal talent for positions at the Montgomery and West Point VPCs. The primary focus is to fill production positions. Additionally, this position is required to assist in monitoring recruiting trends and metrics while ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent.

Responsibilities

  • Full-cycle process recruitment for West Point and Montgomery VPCs
    • Responsible for confirmation of head count, budget and openings for every Hiring Requisition
    • Post, source, screen, interview, and schedule in-person interviews with potential candidates for hiring managers.
    • Responsible for monitoring and managing full-cycle recruiting at the VPCs
    • Responsible for verifying and confirmation of hiring packets put together by agreed upon standards.
    • Oversee process of offer letters, collect candidate acceptances, process background checks, and schedule drug screening.
    • Source and attract candidates by using databases, social media, etc and recommending marketing strategies.
    • Prepare recruitment materials and post jobs to appropriate job board/newspapers/colleges etc.
  • Educate, counsel, and advise HR and hiring managers on candidates
    • Provide solutions and recommendations on hiring policies and practices
    • Send weekly updates to HR on recruiting strategy and open positions
    • Send new hire announcements to required personnel at least one week in advance (or ASAP upon special circumstances)
  • Manage staffing agencies, temporary employees, and agency contracts
    • Is the point of contact for VPC staffing agency recruiting and headcount objectives.
    • Manages the temp-to-perm conversion process.
    • Required to monitor staffing agency KPI and provide recommendations to end, renew and begin new contracts.
    • Oversee all billing between staffing agency and GUS
  • Other duties as assigned
    • Manage org chart with vacancies monthly.
    • Ad hoc reporting


Skills
  • Must possess excellent time-management skills and critical-thinking ability
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills are required
  • Intermediate PC skills including experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Monitoring of metric data and process efficiency

Education & Experience
  • High School Diploma/G.E.D
  • Bachelors Degree OR equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • 1 - 3 years of Recruiting or Human Resources experience
