Job description
BASIC PURPOSE AND FUNCTION: Responsible for coordinating team members to provide Customers with excellent customer service and a high-quality product installation. Coordinate between customer, material suppliers and contractors to schedule and installation of projects.
Project Management Area, Key Result: Produce a project within specifications without callbacks on time and within budget. Liaison for vendors and customers representing Upson Company for obtaining quotes and pricing for projects. Support for Senior Estimators / Project Managers
a) Participates in weekly production meeting with Vice President/Sales, and Maintenance Team to create a strategic plan for
successful job completion.
b) Set and maintain production schedule for installations.
c) Tracking of project tasks, milestones and material orders.
d) Completes pre-construction documentation and associated, submittals, warranty documentation, shop drawings, and
permitting as required
e) Enter Purchase orders, subcontracts and buyout material timely for sold projects.
f) Manages & schedules material deliveries, P.O. pick tickets and material verifications for ongoing projects
g) Participates in the pre-construction meeting with Estimator, and Foreman as assigned.
1) Communicates scope of work, submittal approvals, review material and labor budgets.
2) Communicates overall expectations for the job based on decisions made during the bid process so the foreman can
achieve job production goals and milestones.
h) Conduct project site visits as necessary to produce the project within specifications, and provide quality control to ensure
customer satisfaction.
i) Attended the post-job meeting with foreman to review final job results.
j) Review and Monitor projects in progress and completed projects from the productivity report.
Estimator Support Area, Key Result: Support Estimators roof sales for division's operational budgets and meet schedule and quality control.
a) Participate ongoing training and development of commercial estimator support position.
1) Follows executed training map for the Project Coordinator and SOP's
2) Manages and tracks, and provides estimated costs associated with RFI's, RFP's, ASI's DFA's, CCD's and Changes orders for
projects in progress with Foreman and GC's as assigned.
3) Attends pre-bid and preconstruction meetings for field take off and site verification
b) Maintain vendor relations for the purpose of retaining best pricing status.
c) Maintain customer relations.
d) Filing and organizing project documents in company database or filing system.
1. ROLE: Attends and/or facilitates the following meetings:
a) Weekly production meeting
b) Pre-construction and post job Meetings
c) Performs other duties as assigned
EXPERIENCE
Preferred 5 years Project Management experience in the commercial roofing industry with prior experience in customer service, having at least 3 years of experience in a management or leadership role. PMP Certification a plus.
Responsible for following all applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as written.
SKILLS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Professional, friendly, courteous, and tactful, maintain composure in dealing with customers and co-workers. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must be fluent in English, with the ability to listen, follow instructions and learn new tasks. Must have working knowledge of windows-based computer systems and have the ability to learn construction-based software as required by the job. Bi-lingual English and Spanish beneficial.
Requires working knowledge of multiple roofing systems that may be used in application and repairs.
Requires self-motivation and ability to prioritize. Must be task-oriented, dependable, team oriented, and have the ability to excel in a team environment. Needs strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task. Requires attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Mental alertness is required to ensure accurate completion of work activities. Requires knowledge of basic math and the ability to follow company policies and procedures and applicable State and Federal laws.
Must be able to stand, walk, climb stairs and ladders, bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination required, as well as the ability to reach, lift and maneuver supplies and ladders up to 50 lbs.

PI
