JOB REQUISITION. Contract Accounting Rebate Analyst. LOCATION. DEER PARK. JOB DESCRIPTION. As Contract Accounting Rebate Analyst, your specific responsibilities include: Responsible for overseeing the rebate life cycle for completeness and accuracy. This includes performing analysis, operationalizing rebate terms as interpreted by the contract specialists onto the accrual template, assigning rebates to billing analysts, organizing supporting documentation, preparing journal entries, manage timing of payments, and accuracy of reporting to support the rebate. Provide instructions to billing for proper handling of rebate terms, timing of payments and accruals. Respond to billing questions and help validate accruals are finished for the monthly close. Work with Corporate accounting to answer questions on the reconciliation. Interpret policies and seek to improve efficiencies with rebate process. Collect and analyze required payment calculation data. Assist with Billing or Contract Accounting projects, such as invoice updates, research, reporting, and other projects as requested. Discuss rebates, provide information, answer questions, and communicate rebate issues. Responsible for adhering to RHI policies and procedures, internal controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Business or equivalent, relevant work experience. With degree, 2+ years' experience in general accounting skills such as journal entries, reconciliations, and communication of financial information. Without a degree, 5+ years of experience in the areas emphasized above. Minimum technical skills required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and Windows application.
