Overview:
The Business Analyst III will serve as the primary liaison between the IT organization and other departments including Marketing, Finance, Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service, Warehouse Operations, and Administrative Departments with responsibility for all aspects of the IT project lifecycle. Primary responsibilities will be the initial implementation and ongoing support and optimization of Salesforce CRM. Individual will be expected to develop and present recommendations on next generation applications, techniques, methodologies, processes and utilities.

Responsibilities:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responsible for improving business processes and supporting critical business strategies through managing the development, implementation, and maintenance of business application systems. Works with the business and IT Department to support primary business applications including CRM, ERP, BI, and WMS.
Understand every aspect of all functional and operational areas; initiate and lead alternative solutions that improve business process flow. Prepare interim reports; outline alternative methods; define cost/benefits. Discuss and evaluate new proposals with functional departments.
Familiar with the concepts, practices and procedures related to business process management. Leads business process improvement, discovery and enhancement initiatives applying best practices (lean, six sigma, etc.) to best leverage technology solutions.
Coordinate cross-functional involvement from all interested stakeholders to promote knowledge sharing and full cohesive effort between key departments. Gather business requirements and organize into actionable tasks for continuous improvement.
Participate in IT project management and departmental planning. Creates and implements recommendations for application modifications. In conjunction with user departments and application support staff, develops design specifications for application projects. Participates in application design, plans projects, establishes priorities and monitors progress. Evaluates project status and resource utilization and implements changes to improve the team's effectiveness.
Has extensive knowledge in the analysis, design, development and support of primary software applications with a heavy emphasis on CRM; preferably Salesforce. Demonstrated the ability to implement and develop associated deliverables and work products for Salesforce CRM. Works with Project Managers to develop and/or obtain the documents to support an Agile and Waterfall development environment.
Work with other Business Analysts in the Design, Test, Train and Implement phases of all IT projects.
Work with other Business Analysts and helpdesk to resolve transactional application issues as they arise, determine root cause, and develop preventative permanent solution alternatives.
Mentors users and peers in capabilities and proper use of application systems.
Assist with selection of contracting services, consultants, technical personnel, and application vendors.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's in business or Computer Science preferred
A demonstrated track record of implementing, administration and support of a CRM system, preferably Salesforce.
Understanding of and experience in a distribution environment.
Experience managing and leading complex IT projects
Project management (PMI or PMP), continuous improvement (Six Sigma, Lean, Kaizen, TQM, ISO, etc.), and process maturity frameworks (ITIL, CMM, etc.)
Knowledge of and familiarity of change management
Experience (4-8 years) in similar role and 10+ years in IT
Computer Skills:
Strong Microsoft Office suite knowledge expected, including Microsoft SQL Management Suite. Should have deep knowledge of Salesforce CRM and ERP systems that specifically support wholesale distribution companies. Working knowledge of Infor's SX.Enterprise (SXe) a plus. Ability to learn new software applications as required by current work assignments.
