AP AR Accounting Specialist

Job description

Job Summary: Directly involved with banking, accounts receivable and accounts payable for the Company. Some general bookkeeping will also be required, as well as assisting with month-end close and preparation of various financial reports and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities:

Process and record cash receipts for the Company.

Monitor accounts receivable to help ensure that customers pay timely.

Contact customers who are past due to collect amounts owed.

Gather vendor invoices and input them into our accounts payable system.

Match appropriate invoices with checks when vendors are paid.

Maintain vendor accounts payable files.

Complete various online banking functions for the Company.

Prepare bank reconciliations.

Reconcile various general ledger accounts to appropriate reports.

Personal Attributes:

Must be detail oriented.

Comfortable learning and using accounting software.

Ability to meet and thrive under deadlines.

Ability to work independently as well as being in a team environment.

Excellent reasoning and analytical ability.

Average to advanced skills in Excel.

Requirements:

Prior experience in bookkeeping or accounting.

Prior experience with CRM or ERP software a plus.

Prior experience in collections or A/P.
