Responsibilities:


  • Works closely with the Billing team to ensure client invoices are accurately generated and sent to clients in a timely manner
  • Works with the Billing team to ensure client payments are received and that outstanding invoices are followed-up on
  • Ensures clients payments are applied correctly and in a timely manner; Applies Electronic Remittance Advice.
  • Serves as a back up for accounting clerk on expense reports, vendor payments, purchasing management, and related allocations
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Documents financial transactions by entering account information
  • Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
  • Reconcile Electronic Medical Records billing system with bank accounts and financial statements.
  • Oversee internal controls and integrity of accounts receivable.
  • Maintains financial security by following internal controls.
  • Prepares payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements.
  • Maintains employee and company confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.
  • Generate reports as needed.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • 1-3 years of experience in Accounts Receivable preferred
  • Experience using EMR systems preferred (Central Reach strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency in Excel (experience using pivot tables and V look-ups preferred

Blue Bird Day is an intensive therapy program for children with autism, ADHD, and other developmental disorders. Our therapies are offered in a preschool-like setting, but instead of teachers, our "classes" are run by therapists. Our collaborative team provides occupational, physical, speech, developmental, ABA, and other therapies to help our clients reach their unique goals. We have locations in Chicago's West Loop and Northcenter neighborhoods and in Wheaton, and we're growing!
