Scion is paving a path in student living and we're seeking a talented Acquisitions Analyst to join us in executing our vision. This position will focus on using their analytical talents to provide support to the Acquisition team as Scion looks to build the nation's highest quality student housing portfolio. This position will primarily focus on delivering financial modeling, research, presentations and various analyses with the utmost integrity and timeliness.
The Acquisitions Analyst values and fosters strong cross departmental working relationships. This role demands excellent communication skills, agility, well-honed analytical and problem-solving skills and takes no half measures.
Your Responsibilities
Prepares financial models to analyze prospective origination opportunities under various investment structures.
Gathers and evaluates economic, demographic, and macro fundamental data to aid senior management in effective business decisions.
Provides corporate support to Asset Management and Investment Management team members to assess monthly performance and determine key trends.
Leverages presentation software, data visualization techniques and communication skills to generate external and internal reports.
Conducts transaction due diligence by reviewing and summarizing various property diligence reports, leases and property financial information documents.
Collaborates with Asset Management and Property Operations to ensure recently acquired communities are ready to transition to Scion ownership and management.

What We Require
Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, or similar STEM programs with 0-2 years of professional experience.
Advanced financial modeling skills; High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint skills; Proficiency in VBA is strongly preferred.
Knowledge of and experience with commercial real estate fundamentals and investment principles is a plus.
Handles multiple, complex projects, and prioritizes effectively and meets deadlines.
Infrequent travel may be required occasionally (5-10% in a year), paid by the company.
Operational Details
Job location is based at Scion's Chicago corporate headquarters.
Working hours consist of daytime business hours, requiring additional non-traditional hours during peak times.
