POSITION OVERVIEW

This role will be responsible for sourcing home acquisitions through various channels, accurately underwrite rent comps, construction budgets and insure properties meet specified yield requirements. The Acquisitions Analyst/Associate will gain tremendous exposure and collaboration with all departments, working closing with internal leasing and construction teams within the region. Compensation will commensurate with experience and will include bonus potential as well as a competitive benefits package.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Source and underwrite potential acquisitions
  • Generate and submit offers, respond to counter offers and execute contracts
  • Assist in underwriting portfolio purchase opportunities
  • Research new market territories for expansion within the region
  • Identify and underwrite property dispositions as needed
  • Manage and distribute construction scopes
  • Maintain and improve internal tracking worksheets and databases
  • Provide solutions for improving asset performance and efficiency
  • Review and verify all construction scopes

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in real estate, business, finance, economics, engineering, construction, or management
  • 2-5 years of real estate investment, investment banking or investment research experience preferred
  • Must have strong desire to learn about real estate investment and underwriting
  • Underwriting experience preferred
  • Proficient with Excel with advanced financial modeling skills
  • Applicant must have strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Strong interpersonal/communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment
  • Must thrive in a high-pressure environment with the ability to multi-task and prioritize competing tasks and meeting deadlines
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Team player - energetic, enthusiastic and personable with the ability to collaborate and work independently

Base pay: $65k - $75k plus significant bonus potential
