Job description

Currently seeking a Senior Risk and Treasury Analyst to join the Accounting department.

The Senior Risk and Treasury Analyst will be responsible for developing and performing financial, operational, and compliance audits within TCS Education System and its affiliates. This individual is expected to participate in other risk-related activities, including compliance monitoring and training. This role will also be involved in the Treasury Management function. This position reports to the Director of Risk & Treasury.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Leading the development of the internal audit function including:
Conducting financial, operational, and compliance audits internally;
Preparing audit plans and audit programs;
Preparing accurate work papers with sufficient detail and clarity to support conclusions;
Communicating results and prepare action plans, as needed;
Researching and recommending tools and technologies that may improve audit quality.
Overseeing the preparation of the cash projection.
Preparation of debt covenants.
Work with departments to track completion of requirements on the Compliance Calendar.
Identify opportunities for standardization amongst affiliates and take action steps to enhance existing processes (e.g. policy development).
Working with the Corporate Risk and Compliance Committee on various initiatives.
Assist with monitoring federal, state, and local grants and contracts.
Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Risk & Treasury (e.g. assist with audit coordination).

Excellent project management skills with a proven record of accuracy.
Ability to handle fast-paced environment.
Proficient with Microsoft applications.
Solid accounting knowledge and skills.
Position Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
Three to five years of internal or external audit experience.
Work experience within a higher education institution preferred.
CIA or CPA preferred.
