The marcusevans Group operates in numerous separate business units; you are applying for the Business Development Associate position in our Global Summits

Division in Chicago. Our specific division targets C-Level/VP Level Executives to attend our Summits from the Fortune 1000 and similar size organizations.

1.) First, the majority of your time will be spent calling senior-level executives from multi-billion companies. You will be expected to have professional conversations with high level business executives in an effort to discover their needs and determine if they qualify to attend our invite-only Summits. You must be comfortable making outbound calls in order to be successful in this role.

2.) The second skill set is research ability as you will be required to find new and unique executives to speak with from a variety of industries and enterprise businesses. We are looking for individuals who are comfortable

conducting internet research and an understanding of the need to stay abreast of industry topics through on-line resources, industry associations, and news sources.

3.) The third skill set is the ability to facilitate these Summits on site. We are looking for individuals who are not only capable on the phone, but are also excited to meet their clients in person at five star resorts and spas all over the country where our summits take place. At the Summits we need professional, energetic team members who are able to facilitate interactions between corporate executives (buyers) and our sellers. All of our Summits are held at

four and five star resorts so this is also a terrific benefit that rewards those individuals that are the highest performers on a given event.

Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral skills (English)
  • Basic understanding of sales principles
  • Experience in creating and launching strategic marketing email campaigns is a plus
  • Proficiency in English
  • Track record of over-achieving goals
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer service focus
  • Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality
  • Basic administration skills
  • Willingness to work in face pace environment
  • Positive, goal-oriented attitude is a must have
  • Not being afraid to fail if it means being bold and improving


Compensation

  • Full time Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • Sales experience is a plus but not required as we have an intensive New Hire Training Program (including on-boarding).
  • The pay structure is Base + Commission. Our sales lead time is very short so sales are frequent and the sales targets are very achievable.
  • First year on target earnings are between $50k & $70k and earning above this is attainable with some executives exceeding $100k in their first year.

We also run sales incentives for individuals, teams and the sales floor as a whole.

Our team outings have included paintball, bowling, Cubs games, city scavenger hunts, whirly ball, softball, lunches, after hour cocktails, Beach Olympics, international travel and more. In the last three years this specific division

has had staff that originally started in Chicago and have either fully transferred or have worked temporarily from our offices in:
