ROLE SUMMARY:


The Business Manager provides professional support to the CEO in order to facilitate the CEO in meeting the strategic objectives of AACC. Focus of the Business Manager lies in the organizational and strategic support of the CEO, including for example governance & organization design, change, control (audit, risk, compliance) and strategy. You will strengthen the management team by managing the (strategic) agenda, initiating and structuring changes and developing and maintaining dashboards to provide adequate management information to ultimately increase control and creating overview and insight.


The Business Manager has contacts with a great variety of internal stakeholders, including the management team in Chicago and senior managers within the clearing business. The individual will also work with global colleagues to align strategic objectives, reporting and sharing of information globally. The Business Manager must anticipate and/or respond to rapidly changing circumstances inside and outside the organization, often associated with high time pressure. The Business Manager must act independently and decide on when to escalate to the CEO.



RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the CEO and departmental management in the implementation and maintenance of business continuity management system (BCMS) within AACC
  • Involved with Standard Operating Procedures, Incident Reporting & Tracking, Risk Self-Assessment, Internal Audit and many other firm processes
  • Will assist department managers by preparing management reports, issuing periodic reminders, coordinating discussions, and escalating concerns and challenges to the CEO
  • Responsible for preparing Company All-Hands meetings, Quarterly Business Review and Board Meeting documents and presentations
  • Responsible for creating dashboards for the CEO and management team
  • Participate in Management Team meetings
  • Involved in ad hoc firm strategic projects

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant industry experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft suite
  • Experience with Tableau
  • General product knowledge of Futures, Equities, ETFs and Fixed Income
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
