Job description

The Channel Marketing Coordinator holds an important role in the organization, helping to deliver successful marketing programs that raise awareness and increase traffic for our Cobra, Drive Smarter, and Escort brands. The Coordinator supports the Channel Marketing Manager, internal marketing, and sales as well as external groups such as marketing agencies and retail customers. This role will focus on a broad range of sales and marketing channels - big box retail stores and eCommerce sites (e.g., Best Buy, Walmart, Amazon, etc.), trucking/fleet partners, travel centers, automotive accessory dealers, and more.


The Coordinator will work closely with the Channel Marketing Manager and respective channel sales managers to assist with the planning and execution of all aspects of online/offline marketing campaigns, partner events, trade shows, and promotions.


Day-to-day responsibilities will include overseeing Product Detail Pages on multiple retail platforms to ensure product accuracy and completeness, collaborating with the Channel Marketing Manager to continuously test and optimize pages and brand stores, assisting with executing new product launches and ongoing marketing campaigns, updating and maintaining campaign reporting, and acting as a project manager to document and follow-up on team meeting decisions and action items.



Essential Functions

  1. As a Channel Marketing Coordinator, you will work with the marketing team, channel sales managers, external partners, and customers to help implement channel-specific marketing programs, campaigns, and advertising programs.
  2. Act as the liaison with the sales team and retail reps to execute online and offline retail promotions that are consistent with overall marketing campaigns and that cater to specific channel platforms and audiences.
  3. Work with the Channel Marketing Manager to create, proofread, and maintain cohesive messaging and product listing copy for all online and offline retail platforms and other channel-specific sales tools and collateral.
  4. Participate in the planning, execution, and recap of national and regional channel tradeshows, industry events, and customer presentations.
  5. Contribute to the successful execution of new product launches, ongoing marketing campaigns, and retail promotions including content development, POP/merchandising procurement, sales collateral and training, and other related activities.
  6. Document decisions and action items and ensure regular follow-up with marketing team meetings for updates on projects, timelines, and other relevant activities.

Qualifications

Required:

  1. Degree in marketing, digital marketing, communications, or another closely related field is required
  2. 1-3 years of experience
  3. Solid understanding of marketing channels and tactics
  4. Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize projects/tasks, work independently and with multiple stakeholders, and consistently follow-up on next steps
  5. Proven ability to manage projects closely and ensure proper communication, collaboration with teammates, and ensuring alignment
  6. Effective working skills of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams
  7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English


Preferred:

  1. Experience with retail and digital marketing
  2. Experience using web-based content management platforms
  3. Project management and event management experience
