ABOUT

EVEN Hotel Chicago - Tinley Park Convention Center, owned and operated by The Harp Group, is searching for an experienced Financial Controller to review financial performance for a growing portfolio and monitor key metrics to improve overall performance while ensuring compliance in finance practices.

After months of renovating the existing Holiday Inn Hotel at the Tinley Park Convention Center, full rebranding efforts are now complete. The EVEN Hotel Chicago underwent a comprehensive $10 million renovation throughout 2020.

Connected to the 202-guest room hotel is the 120,000-square foot Tinley Park Convention Center, one of the Midwest's premier meeting and convention destinations. The expanded Convention Center has 70,000 square feet of event space to accommodate any type of event from theatrical and sporting to trade and consumer shows.

RESPONSIBILITIES


    -Oversee and lead the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll.
    -Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
    -Oversee the production of periodic financial reports; ensures that the reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and/or financial reporting standards.
    -Recommend benchmarks that will be used to measure the company's performance.
    -Produce the annual budget and forecasts; reports significant budget differences to management.
    -Provide financial analysis, with emphasis on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
    -Work with external auditors and provides needed information for the annual audit.
    -File quarterly and annual reports with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
    -Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government requirements.
    -Perform other related duties as necessary or assigned.
