Position: Director of Finance (service industry)Department: Operations/FinanceEntrada is a strategic consultancy in the healthcare sector and is searching for a self-directed experienced Director of Finance to oversee all financial and accounting activities. This position will have a pivotal role in creating new processes for our team after blending two company structures together and determining how to preserve legacy process while bringing new ways of working to the table based on experience. Successful candidates will have deep knowledge of service-based businesses such as consultancies. This position will oversee the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of financial records, management of external resources and the development of a comprehensive set of processes designed to mitigate risk and enhance our profitability. The successful candidate will oversee and be responsible for budget projections and management, financial analysis, payroll, forecasting, A/P & A/R.This is a fantastic opportunity for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic work environment and is set up to work remotely in a professional manner. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer, with a dotted line to the company's Founders.Role OverviewMonitor company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costsKeep up-to-date on the financial market to understand how to maximize profits and find new expansion areasUnderstand the financials of Entrada in order to meet legal requirements and keep the financial state in good standingAssist management with important financial decisionsPrepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts and statements to understand the financial state of EntradaSupervise employees who work under the Director of Finance in preparing financial reports and budgetsResponsibilitiesHigh levelWork with founders and executives to create annual projectionsDevelop new processes to help company become more efficient and enable deeper levels of profitability analysesParticipate in creation of company's pricing strategy, manage and maintain rate cards, and enforce appropriate controls in client SOWsProvide recommendations on efficiencies for profit optimizationStay up to date on adherence to government requirements on virtual companiesCommunicate with 3 rd party CPA on a quarterly basis and provide necessary reportingEstablish banking relationships with company's representatives and stay informed, make recommendationsMonitor the financial performance of the companyCompile and analyze financial reportingDay to dayClosely manage cash flow and make recommendations to ensure company is in a good cash positionContact customers directly to track accounts receivable and monitor timing of paymentsManage 3 rd party bookkeeper to ensure timely reconciliations and accurate QB postingsManage and oversee payroll & expense reimbursement via our PEOPrepare and track ongoing operating budgetsCalculate and oversee commissions and incentive payoutsManage and oversee accounts receivable and accounts payable functionsWork with Leadership Team to procure outside resources according to budget and cash allowancesRequired Education & ExperienceA Bachelor's degree in Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or Finance5-10 years of experience in a senior accounting or financial management role, at least 3 years in a Director of Finance functionExperience in a service industry, preferably in a consulting and/or agency settingCPA, CGMA, CMA, CFA certification, Certified Treasury Professional accreditation, or equivalentPrior experience working in a services company, or agency, is requiredMaster's degree in a related field - a plusRequired Skills & AbilitiesStrong, uncompromising attention to detailBasic math skills to make accurate calculations and estimatesExcellent Organization and Project Management abilitiesAbility to exercise independent judgment and work with little supervisionHighly autonomous, self-directed, proactive and comfortable working within a dynamic environmentThe ability to communicate effectively with co-workers and management about the finances of the business and justify certain financial recommendations
