Position Overview:
SEL is seeking a Director of Sales. The ideal candidate will exhibit a strategic, customer oriented national focus on seeking new Full Truckload, LTL, Intermodal and Consolidation opportunities. This role will be responsible for building and motivating a competent sales staff as well as client partner management and supporting sales strategy to maintain long-term customer relationships and to successfully execute plans to grow sales revenues and expand strategic customer relationships. Additionally, this candidate will focus on developing new prospects while maintaining the following sales aspects, account management, proposal development, account retention & growth and profitability. This job is 100% on-site.
What You Will Be Doing Day-to-Day:
- Participates with senior managers, executives and staff to establish corporate strategic sales plans, goals and objectives.
- Participates in the development and use of suitable sales forecasting processes and models.
- Deeper selling into existing accounts, with the goal of growth and achieving satisfaction with existing customers and remaining competitive in the market.
- Lead and execute on the development of account plan(s) including relationship building, overall account strategy and budgeting/targeting business growth and development opportunities.
- Drive and own customer account growth by leveraging all available SEL & AIT resources.
- Develops and maintains efficient communication processes, with collateral company activities, to ensure consistency in all actions directed at the achievement of company sales goals and objectives.
- Consistently deliver revenue & profit targets - ensuring company revenue and GP goals and objectives are achieved quarter over quarter and year over year.
- Develops and maintain a process that ensures a continuing source of leads & new target accounts.
- Ability to proactively identify Healthcare industry and economic trends that can impact AIT Worldwide Logistics business.
- Effectively works in conjunction with the Directors of Operations & Sales to meet gross revenue, net revenue, budgets, and net income goals.
- Excellent leadership and influencing skills; ability to build strong business partnerships both externally and internally.
- Ability to recruit, train and develop a motivated and driven high-performance team.
- Work to promote the SEL & AIT Culture, Values, Teamwork, and Ethics while striving for high performance and providing a world-ass experience for our customers.

Other Skills We Hope to See:
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience, in Business Administration, Marketing and Sales, or a related field. An advanced degree is preferred.
- Proven track record selling supply chain services. Proficiency in all Domestic US Trucking Modes.
- Minimum of 10 years working in a multi/national focus; fast pace, high volume environment, strongly preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of relationship management experience required.
- Proven track record in generating profitable revenue growth and retaining existing customers.
- Ability to lead strategy for international and domestic RFQ's. All modes including customs brokerage and compliance services.
- An established record of recruiting, training and motivating successful Account Executives and teams.
- Skilled at business planning and diligent at measuring and communicating progress towards the plan, identifying roadblocks, while being solution oriented.
- Ability to work in a fast pace and high volume environment.
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral skills, and the ability to make concise & compelling presentations
