Summary of Position:
Hightower is seeking an analyst to join its growing Financial Planning & Analysis team. The team seeks to leverage its access to financial and operational performance data to drive strategic planning and decision making at the Company.
The analyst will collaborate with individuals on the Finance team and across the organization to support financial and strategic planning, monthly and quarterly financial close processes, and building & analyzing business performance metrics.
The team is seeking a self-starter with a strong financial background, preferably with a degree in Finance or relevant experience in a Corporate Finance role.
Responsibilities will include:
  • Take ownership of critical elements of the closing, reporting, forecasting, and annual strategic planning processes
  • Analyze operational and financial data, investigate performance variances, identify business drivers, and evaluate the impact on company objectives
  • Provide a fresh perspective on current processes and a willingness to ask challenging questions and suggest alternative solutions
  • Lead and support on ad hoc analysis and special projects for senior management
  • Assist with preparation of presentation materials for investors, Board of Directors, and senior management
  • Work with M&A team to understand impacts of new business on the Company
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree in finance or equivalent experience
  • Preferred previous experience in a Corporate Finance role through an internship or full-time position
  • Solid baseline of financial concepts, financial modeling capabilities, and an understanding of core financial statements
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with other data processing / visualization tools a plus (Tableau, Sequel, etc.)
  • Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new technologies/systems
  • Ability to be flexible, resourceful, quick to learn and adapt to change
  • Solid written and active communication skills
