Job description

Midland is seeking a new Business Development Associate to join our growing team. This individual will be responsible for selling the custody solutions to financial professionals, broker-dealers, and registered investment advisers. If you have experience working with these types of professionals and you have a driven, entrepreneurial approach to ensuring success, then this role is perfect for you.

The primary goal of this position is to get in front of as many financial professionals as possible. This can be achieved through call campaigns, email campaigns, attending local investor groups, sponsoring investor events, attending trade shows, setting up in-person meetings with key players... you name it. There is a great deal of flexibility in this role. Find what works for you, and run with it! As a bonus, you've got the full support of the seasoned Midland team to back you up with training, collateral and other support.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 2-5 years of work experience, preferably in a relationship building sales environment
  • Experience working directly with registered investment advisors, broker-dealers, family offices, investment sponsors, etc
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the financial industry including advisers, financial planning, asset management programs, and private placement funds
  • Proven track record of consistent sales success and closing
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office
  • Time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentation skills
  • Experience utilizing a CRM system (Salesforce)

Experience:

  • Financial Sales w/ RIA, Broker Dealers, Alternative Investments: 2 years (Required)
