Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. We serve and help individuals and families in many aspects of their lives, helping them buy homes, open first bank and savings accounts, buy cars to get to and from work or school, and start or grow small businesses. Consumer Data and Engagement Platforms (CDEP) works across the CSBB, Consumer Lending, and Wealth and Investment Management lines of business to develop coordinated strategies for growth in each of Wells Fargo's customer segments. The team is responsible for designing seamless, engaging customer experiences across products and channels, and building the next-generation digital, data and analytics, and functional capabilities required to deliver toward these objectives.
This role, reporting to CDEP Front-line Monitoring Manager, will support the development, execution and maintenance of Front-line Monitoring activities. These activities include: preparing aggregated reporting and analysis on QC and QA controls for specific process owners, communicating results with stakeholders and performing escalation processes. This role performs monitoring activities on controls that undergoing improvements. The FLM Consultant is also responsible for supporting the Issue Management process, through sustainability testing, to confirm that risk mitigating controls are operating as designed and expected. The ability to develop relationships and learn new processes will be key to success in this role.
Frontline monitoring of QC and QA controls will provide opportunities for self-identification of issues, root cause analysis, reporting and resolution of process and control deficiencies.
Monitoring activities will be conducted on a routine and reoccurring basis. Documentation, recurring reporting, communication with stakeholders and adherence to escalation processes, is required.
Issue validation activities, process/control risk assessments and engagement in business line RCSA work, are a core part of this role.
Specific responsibilities include:
- Support efforts to design and implement effective controls for CDEP processes
- Collaborate with cross functional groups to ensure comprehensive understanding of business process, control environment, tool/systems supporting process, and formal policies/procedures, in support of the CDEP organization
- Prepare formal reports, analysis and documentation of existing control performance and validate revised control sustainability, utilizing CSBB SAA Program office standard templates and processes.
- Maintain business routines with Compliance and Control partners to ensure adherence to all enterprise control policies including: Issue Managment Policy/Procedure, Internal Control Policy, Compliance Program Policy, Self Assurance Policy and QC/QA Procedure.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: project management, implementation, or strategic planning

Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience with mapping processes, identifying and assessing risk, control design and control effectiveness specific to Banking operations
- Background in audit, control testing, and/or control development
- Experience with Business Process Management (BPM) lifecycle.
- Experience with Wells Fargo's Marketing processes
- Ability to build consensus through verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Prior financial services, internal/external audit, and/or operational risk experience.
Salary Information
The salary range displayed below is based on a Full-time 40 hour a week schedule.
