Your impact as an HR Manager - Rewards
The Rewards team delivers programs aligned to Aon's total rewards philosophy, framework and strategy on a global, national and local basis across all solution lines. This role will work primarily with HR Business Partners, Legal, Finance and Business Unit Management, to provide advice and support to assigned business units to deliver and lead various operational activities or initiatives. Equally important, the role will work in partnership with others on the Rewards team to improve processes and support ad hoc and global initiatives. Programs include, but are not limited to, base salary and incentive pay benchmarking and administration, sales compensation, compliance and ancillary rewards.
Responsibilities:
Understanding client needs and challenges and responding with alternative solutions and recommendations, often in a proactive manner.
Responding to HR and management inquiries related to compensation policies & programs.
Supporting the annual merit & incentive cycles, and salary budget processes.
Conducting research and competitive analyses to understand compensation trends, and to recommend changes to salary structure, compensation practices or policies.
Ensuring compliance with legislation and regulations; in the US, this would include evaluating roles to ensure compliance with FLSA regulations.
Administering compensation programs and supporting initiatives to enhance or improve compensation programs and practices.
Developing and rolling out communications and training to provide guidance and enhance understanding of Aon's compensation programs.
Supporting compensation applications and databases including data auditing and user acceptance testing, and other projects as needed.
You Bring Knowledge and Expertise
Required Skills and Knowledge:
4+ years of progressive HR experience at the professional level.
Technical: Strong analytical, research, report-writing and data management skills. Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Proficient with HR systems; experience with Workday an asset.
Communications: Capable communicator who effectively expresses facts and ideas, verbally and in writing. Can influence others and communicate with all organizational levels. Effective listener.
Problem-solving: Investigates issues and uses sound judgment to identify and evaluate alternatives. Makes objective decisions taking into account facts, constraints, risks and the overall impact of recommendations.
Customer Service: Works with colleagues and managers to assess their needs and to provide information or support. Appropriately escalates issues or concerns.
Self-management: Displays a high level of initiative, prioritizes effectively, and consistently meets commitments or deadlines.
Project Management: Proficient at organizing stakeholders, managing change, and maintaining control over all current initiatives and responsibilities. Anticipates and follows up to resolve all relevant issues.
Interpersonal Skills: Develops and maintains effective relationships with others. Relates well to people from diverse backgrounds and in different situations.
Information Assurance: Able to work with highly confidential information. Strong quality assurance mindset with attention to detail.
Education:
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience required.
