Job description
Job Purpose:
* To develop new Latin American business primarily focused on corporates based throughout the US/Canada, enhance Control Risks profile across the Americas region and grow a portfolio of clients in the region.
* Act as an advisor to clients on their political, reputational, operational and security risks and, with our service lines, help to scope solutions.
* Lead Control Risks Latin America market activity across the Americas liaising with Geomarket Leaders working in markets with a heavy concentration of client interest in Latin America
Role and Responsibilities:
Business development and brand building:
* Deliver business development targets
* Manage key clients to drive revenue and profitability
* Proactively initiate and develop new and existing client relationships
* Gather intelligence on clients operations and on major new projects of interest to ensure opportunistic and informed business development operations
* Work with the Geomarket Leaders and Americas Partner group to identify and nurture high-impact potential clients and be involved, as appropriate
* Work with senior stakeholders and clients in corporations and financial firms to develop Control Risks profile and drive new business in line with agreed-upon sales targets
* Speak at events in the US and Canada to promote Control Risks capabilities in Latin America
Thought leadership:
* Collaborate with the Group Thought Leadership team for the Americas to align sales and market activity
* Provide guidance and advice to the Americas leadership on client and competitor insights
* Work closely with the Marketing team to promote Control Risks services for the Americas markets, creating thought leadership for a business audience as necessary
Requirements
Knowledge and experience:
Essential:
* Be strongly conversant in Latin American affairs; able to articulate the impact of events in Latin America on security, political and integrity risks in a compelling way
* Have experience working across the security, risk management and legal communities
* Proven ability to devise and implement successful strategies to drive business growth
* Have experience in a client-facing roleideally in an account management or business development capacityfor professional services companies
Desirable:
* Relevant subject-matter expertise in business risk
Qualifications and specialist skills:
* Practice-focused technical qualifications useful (investigations, intelligence, security consulting)
* Proficient user of Microsoft business tools (Dynamics 365, Office, etc.)
