Job description

On behalf of our international client Persson Innovation, YER is currently searching an experienced Sales Manager North America. In this role you will successfully execute Persson's U.S. sales and marketing plans through business development and expanded product sales. This position will take hands on ownership of growing Persson's sales into corporate approved markets and segments. Key sales responsibility for North America, to support growth opportunities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, lead and manage Persson's North American Sales growth on new and appointed accounts.
  • Execute field sales tactical plans through a proactive selling process designed to acquire new customers and expand existing customer base
  • Execute tactics and strategies to strengthen relationships with appointed accounts ensuring they reach their full potential - ensure recognition of Persson brand is the Vendor of Choice
  • Research new opportunities / segments in packaging market verticals
  • Identify and develop new accounts
  • Prospect and qualify new accounts, develop viable and sustainable pipeline
  • Provide ongoing sales and product orientations to prospects and existing appointed accounts
  • Negotiate approved pricing / terms of sales agreements consistent with Persson policies
  • Provide superior customer follow through and service
  • Responsible for tradeshow effectiveness and lead generation
  • Be the expert in National Accounts marketing and sales
  • At minimum, meet annual sales goals per account and for entire National Accounts channel as set by business plans each year
  • Develop and align North American sales strategy with Director of Global Sales
  • Take on other sales / marketing projects as assigned by the Director of Global Sales


Knowledge-Skills-Abilities:


  • Bachelor's Degree preferably with a sales or relevant field concentration
  • In-depth knowledge of sales strategy in the consumer and contract packaging markets
  • Sales experience and 3 years experience in consumer and contract packaging markets
  • Understanding of sales metrics, CRM and reporting
  • Excellent interpersonal selling skills with ability to immediately establish rapport with prospects and customers
  • Min 5 year professional business experience, in a sales related role
  • Experience with order processing/billing/CRM programs
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Prior knowledge of B2B sales strategy
  • Proficient with MS office suite; experience learning new programs
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to learn new processes quickly and independently
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage time
  • Attention to detail
