Job description

An architectural design firm located in Chicago, IL is seeking a proactive and helpful Office Coordinator to join their team. The Office Coordinator will directly support the Principals in an administrative capacity while also acting as the point of contact for office services. This is a great opportunity for someone who is quick on their feet and people-oriented. The compensation for this role is up to $18/hr during the temporary period and $40k-$45k when the role becomes permanent.


Responsibilities of the Office Coordinator:

  • Greet and assist guests in a friendly and professional manner
  • Manage calendars and coordinate travel arrangements
  • Prepare meeting materials and daily needs
  • Assist in the presentation of proposals
  • Oversee and execute internal programs
  • Manage social media platforms and company blog
  • Coordinate events, catering, and more
  • Answer phones and field calls appropriately
  • Process mailings and packages
  • Upkeep of office supplies; replenishing as needed
  • General maintenance of office spaces
  • Administrative support such as data entry and filing


Requirements of the Office Coordinator:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Experience in a professional office required
  • Previous experience in customer service
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to anticipate needs and deliver promptly
  • Strong relationship-building and maintenance skills
  • Willingness to help wherever needed
