Our client is a growing and profitable Chicago area manufacturer. They are known as a leader in their industry and are looking for a project engineer who is ready to grow with them in a capacity leading custom engineering projects for their nuclear client base.


Client Overview

  • A leading manufacturer and servicer of engineered-to-order (ETO) heavy machinery and systems
  • Known as a proud US manufacturer servicing a variety of industries such as power generation, steel, and foundry, automotive, recycling sectors
  • A local company with a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility that is ISO 9 certified


Position Overview

  • Responsible for reviewing technical specifications and for preparing all required documentation for the project and machinery design
  • Responsible for ensuring that project specifications and scope are clearly defined
  • Review, monitor and approve engineering project costs to ensure that they meet project requirements
  • Creates design layouts of equipment and various components
  • Create detailed drawings of individual parts, mechanical assemblies, and equipment general arrangements
  • Implements customer comments/changes to drawings and documentation
  • Interfaces with suppliers and subcontractors to provide design input and to approve project engineering calculations and drawings
  • Provide technical and customer service support as required


Candidate Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering required
  • More than 5 years mechanical engineering experience supply components or machinery to the nuclear power sector
  • Proficiency using Solidworks and AutoCAD
  • Experience designing structural equipment or machinery preferred
  • Strong interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without restrictions
