Why This Role Is Valuable
As our Receptionist, you will have the capability to think fast, solve problems and ensure that visitors feel they are in good hands. Our Receptionist is often the first person and sometimes the only person visitors have contact with. First impressions matter and this role has a direct impact in branding the organization. As our Receptionist, you will be empowered to be extremely influential as a reflection on the entire organization. This position is based out of Revantage's headquarters in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities:
HOW YOU ADD VALUE
Answer incoming calls for the company, take messages (as needed), and route calls to the appropriate party
Greet guests and employees warmly and professionally with a pleasant demeanor
Book conference room requests upon receipt
Use visitor processing software to update visitors that may be coming in for the day/week so they have access to the building
Order office supplies and kitchen inventory
Assist with large mailings and projects as needed
Code and approve all invoices for Office Services
Act as backup support for travel coordination and expense processing
Support various companies/teams with catering requests and event setup/take down
Enter work orders as needed
Process FedEx shipments
Schedule messenger deliveries
Monitor Office Services email inbox reply as appropriate
Support Office Services as necessary, including stocking copiers, sorting mail and delivering packages
Maintain executive presence at all times as this position if the first contact for all visitors
Qualifications:
What You Bring to this Role
Required:
High school education
Executive presence
Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to effectively interact with customers and employees
Thorough knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling required to ensure all documentation is prepared in an accurate and professional manner
Ability to identify and utilize resources required to complete daily tasks
Knowledge of general administrative procedures with intermediate skills utilizing computer software applications for word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, and database management (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet)
Ability to multi-task, work independently, and utilize good judgment to plan, prioritize and organize workload
Preferred:
Minimum 1 year receptionist/administrative experience
