They will participate in the teams' undertaking of its transformation towards thedeployment of stream-lined, standardized tools and technologies, as well as accounting, reporting, and business supportprocesses. In addition, the Senior Accountant is responsible for performing multiple accounting activities that require anunderstanding of accounting and operational aspects of finance, accounting, and business systems. They will utilize NetSuiteas well as a variety of complementary systems for consolidation, planning, and close management, and are instrumental inensuring accurate and timely submissions of actuals to TuSimple's senior management.The Senior Accountant is well-organized and possesses strong leadership, analytical, communication, and financial systemsand tools skills. They are meticulous with details and unrelenting when it comes to meeting deadlines and helping the businessmove forward with fiscal prudence, to ensure its success.Join us and be a part of excellence!Role ResponsibilitiesLeads the North American payroll function, overseeing all aspects of payroll including, ensuring compliance with organizational policies and government regulations, driving superb internal customer service, and scaling and refining payroll processes to improve efficiencies and incorporate best practicesExecutes timely and accurate financial activities in support of business partners in multiple areas: revenue, costaccounting, gross margin, SGA expenses, AR & AP, fixed assets, prepaids, among others.Conducts a variety of reconciliations to support transactional integrity and is responsible for assigned entity month-endclosing activities, including, journal entry preparation, and account analysis.Prepares and processes journal entries, ensuring consistent and accurate accounting of transactions, GL/departmentcoding, and financial statement presentations.Assists in preparation and analysis of monthly financial reporting packages for the US TuSimple business.Ensures compliance with SOX, internal controls, TuSimple specific policies and procedures.Provides support for internal and external audits and corporate tax requests.Maintains and updates standard documentation, operating procedures and flowcharts for assigned activities.Provides guidance on accounting impacts associated with special projects and/or non-routine transactions.Operates independently and is flexible in a changing environment and challenges the status quo.Performs configuration and testing related to existing or new processes/implementations as needed.Participates in TuSimple's process improvement reviews across current finance structure, identifies areas requiringchange and supports the change process.Provides responsive, high quality service to TuSimple business leaders by providing accurate, complete and up-to-dateinformation, in a courteous, efficient and timely manner.Maintains strict confidentiality of sensitive information.Supports all Company initiatives and ad-hoc requests as identified by TuSimple management.Supports the Consolidation of multiple entities within a complex multi-national company.Experience & Skills RequiredAssociate's Degree+ in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field5 years accounting experienceExperience with NetSuite or other ERP systems, strongly preferred.CPA Certification, preferredThorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document technicalaccounting issues.Strong knowledge of accounting transactions used in controlling subsidiary account accruals, deferrals, estimated items,sales and collections, closing procedures, receivables, and payables. Includes ability to manage journal entries, preparemonth-end statements and other accounting and audit reports including the appropriate interpretation and analysis.Solid understanding of the principles and practices used in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, financialstatements, and reconciliations.
