Summary

Looking for someone who will contribute to building out the Data Platform built in Snowflake, but also lead autonomous projects with stakeholders to integrate applications to our Data Platform. The current project is implementing Gainsight

Length: FTE

Role & Responsibilities

• Using Gainsight to consume data from different source systems such as Snowflake
• Design and build scalable data orchestration, transformation, and reporting streams
• Inject SDLC best practices into the data stack, and provide guidance to other data engineers
• Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated testing, code instrumentation, and real time monitoring
• Take ownership of data quality, data catalog, and data lineage tools to provide a best-in-class experience to data platform end users
• Create data visualizations for data consumers, as well as providing transparency of system processes to engineering org
• Practice/Implement data security, encryption and masking policies across various data sets and data sources
• Develop and manage end-to-end project plans and ensure on-time delivery
• Work with business and engineering teams to identify scope, constraints, dependencies, and risks
• Identify risks and opportunities across the business and drive solutions

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of relevant experience
• Consulting experience is a big plus
• Experience with Snowflake
• 4+ years of working with cloud technologies
• 4+ years of experience in data pipelines (ETL / ELT)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or relevant work experience
• Demonstrated ability to work with batch, streaming, and big data from an analytics perspective
• Advanced SQL proficiency
• Advanced experience with Data Visualization tools (Tableau and Power BI a plus)
• Working knowledge of Source Control, CI / CD, and DevOps (creating CI / CD Pipeline experience is a plus)
• Working knowledge of Agile frameworks and Jira
• Must have troubleshooting experience
• Must be a self starter, can be on their own and understand business problem. A engineer that can understand business context
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units
• Demonstrated ability to debug complex environments and data pipelines
