Job description
What will your day look like?
You will support the procurement strategy by actively leading the end-to-end strategic sourcing and contract management processes. Strategic sourcing duties will include, spend and market analysis, identifying business requirements, leading RFP's, contract negotiations and execution support, managing existing vendor contractual relationships including renewals, terminations, ongoing monitoring and performance monitoring for the Banking (lending, deposit products) division. In addition, the incumbent will also support the day to day delivery of other procurement functions including process monitoring, spend analysis, reporting, and end user support. General supervision is received from the Sr. Manager, Procurement. General direction is received from the Senior Manager, Procurement.
Responsibilities

- Support the execution of the overall source-to-pay cycle
- Serve as central point of contact for all strategic sourcing activities for the Banking division
- Cultivate internal and external relationships to drive results, savings and build credibility for the Procurement team
- Develop and manage strategic sourcing strategies for the Banking division
- Analyze the market and current supplier spend within the Banking division and make strategic sourcing and cost reduction recommendations
- Lead the execution of RFP's, RFQ's or RFI's for the for the Banking division
- Negotiate with new and existing vendors to ensure that Alliant has the best possible agreements and costs in place
- Monitor compliance with procurement policies and procedures
- Work to continuously improve efficiencies related to procurement policies and practices
- Ensure contracts and supporting documents are compliant with internal policy and various federal and state regulations
- Manage contract information and maintain integrity of data in the contract management system
- Assist the Banking division in ongoing monitoring of vendors
- Create vendor scorecards based on risk and performance and notify the appropriate risk team of any findings
- Proactively monitor contract SLA's
- Assist the Banking division in managing vendor deliverables and performance
- Monitor external sources for potential vendor risks
- Perform spend diagnostics that leads to identification and implementation of cost saving/efficiency opportunities
- Execute and manage KPI and spend reporting to management
- Represent procurement function on enterprise projects and initiatives
- Support procurement projects and initiatives as required
Qualifications
What makes you a great fit?
You'll be a great fit if in addition to the completion of a Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance or related field, required, and you have:
- 4-6 years professional experience in a procurement or vendor management role is required
- Knowledge of insurance requirements, legal terminology of purchase, licensing and professional services contracts is a plus
- Ability to collaborate effectively with Senior Management, Vendors, and Business Partners
- Strong process management and organizational skills
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Ability to self-motivate, problem solve, and exercise independent judgment
- Demonstrated effectiveness in managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility with changing priorities
- Basic understanding of banking service providers and partners, a plus
- Demonstrated commitment to quality and continuous improvement
- Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook, required
- Experience with a procurement system such as Determine or Coupa, a plus
