Staff Auditor

The Staff Auditor reports directly to the Internal Audit Manager and is responsible for executing internal audit activities, assisting in the development of risk-based audit programs, and assisting in the planning of audit projects of financial, operational, and IT functions. Further the role will interact regularly with management and will be responsible for developing a strong strategic relationship with key internal and external stakeholders.

About the Job:

* Participate in organization-wide financial, operational, and strategic audits and/or risk assessments. Execute fieldwork, including assessing processes and controls, identifying weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, defining recommended corrective actions, and preparing audit work papers that document the work performed to support conclusions set forth in final audit or advisory reports.

* Participates in projects associated with SOX including documenting key processes and controls over financial reporting; evaluates control design and effectiveness, tests key controls; documents in work papers; reports findings to management verbally and in writing

* Prepares high quality audit work papers to document procedures and the results of audit work. Makes recommendations to enhance business processes and identifies opportunities to improve operational efficiencies

* Communicate or assist in communicating the results of audit and consulting projects via written reports and oral presentations.

* Leverage data analytic tools and results to evaluate business processes and identify control weaknesses.

* Facilitate change and process improvement by offering value-added recommendations

* Work effectively as part of a motivated, diverse, and high-energy team

* Occasional domestic and international travel may be required to meet the needs of the business (estimated 30 - 35%)

* Other duties as assigned.

About You:

* Bachelor or university degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field

* 2+ years' experience with either a "Big 4" accounting firm, a mid-level accounting firm, and/or a multi-national company is preferred.

* Relevant professional certification (CPA, CIA, ACCA, CISA, etc.) is preferred

* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities

* Works well independently and as part of a multi-national team

* Drive and ambition to learn the business, build relationships and become a leader

* Excellent interpersonal, communication and writing skills

* Experience with ERP systems such as SAP is preferred

* Ability to speak fluent Spanish is preferred
