Job description

We're seeking a Sr. Trainer-Workday Implementation for a FTE opportunity located in Chicago, IL. Position is hybrid (remote & onsite).


Overview

Supports assigned departments' and audiences' Workday training needs by creating and delivering Workday instructor-led courses, e-learning lessons and written materials. Provides one-to-one training and system support as requested by end users and/or in response to help desk tickets. Works with operational owners and managers to regularly assess Workday training needs, devise new solutions to training issues and provide support as needed for new content and application go-lives. Mentors newer and less-experienced staff in Workday training best practices. Provides project scoping, management and leadership for training-related projects. Serves as a subject matter expert to Information Management on Workday education and adult learning best practices, and consults with other teams as needed on educational planning and direction-setting.


Responsibilities

1. Designs, maintains and delivers instructor-led training for assigned departments and audiences.

2. Designs, maintains and delivers e-learning lessons, printed materials, videos and other deliverables for assigned departments and audiences.

3. Cross-trains and provides backup instructor coverage for related application training classes.

4. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

5. Responds to ad-hoc requests for Workday training deliverable development.

6. Incorporates adult learning principles and instructional design best practices into training delivery.

7. Contributes to development and maintenance of e-learning scripts and lessons for Workday applications as needed.

8. Coordinates activities of assigned projects or particular phases of a given project. Develops and creates detailed work plans, timelines and other appropriate documentation, identifies appropriate resources needed and provides timely status reports.

9. Completes project scoping, planning and management for Workday training team projects.

10. Serves as an Workday and adult-education subject matter expert to all teams within IM and across the organization

11. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

12. Other job functions as assigned.

Qualifications

1. Associate's Degree with training experience. Bachelor's degree preferred. A combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job.

2. 4-5 years progressive experience in Workday software training.

3. Expert skills in MS Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint required. Experience with page layout software (such as MS Pagemaker, MS Publisher, etc.) a plus.

4. Knowledge of adult education techniques required.

5. Previous experience working with e-learning tools such as Adobe Captivate, Flash, Flex or Articulate Presenter preferred.

6. Previous experience working with learning management systems preferred.

7. Excellent analytical, written and oral communication skills. Ability to articulate facts and ideas clearly and concisely. Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

8. Excellent project management skills. Ability to prepare documentation to support established objectives consistent with generally recognized standards.

9. Ability to maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality relating to employee/patient and hospital.
