SUMMARY
The Content Specialist, Corporate Communications is a member of the North American Communications Team and is responsible for providing support for internal and external communications - particularly focused on exceptional writing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Executes flawless written and multimedia content intended to inform, engage and motivate the diverse employee base of Lundbeck North America and external audiences.
  • Advises a strategic channel approach for pulling through communications; champions accurate messaging and brand consistency across content and channels.
  • Actively maintains and promotes high-priority internal communication channels, including SharePoint, Yammer, email and e-newsletters.
  • Proactively recommends, develops and implements creative and strategic employee engagement initiatives.
  • Supports community relations communications on behalf of the company, such as advocacy walk programming.
  • Supports external communications and social media as needed to ensure cohesion with internal communications.
  • Monitors and applies the latest technology and trends for communication, content development and employee engagement.
  • Identifies and implements opportunities to measure and assess the effectiveness of communications, and consistently applies learnings to drive continuous improvement.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree
  • 1+ years' professional experience within a communications focused role
  • Exceptional, first-time-quality writing skills and content development experience across all formats (email, social, newsletters, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Self-starter and superior collaboration skills

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in communications, English, journalism or a related field
  • Internship experience requiring strong stakeholder management skills
  • Design and/or video editing capabilities
  • Ability to work well under pressure
  • Proven ability to meet or exceed deadlines
  • Agency experience
  • Healthcare industry experience

TRAVEL

  • Willingness/Ability to travel up to 5-10% domestically. International travel may be required.
