Job Description
The Senior Human Resources Generalist will play an integral role within all Human Resources aspects throughout the employee lifecycle and corporate initiatives. This person will be expected to be an expert on internal policies in order to carry out our processes in a constructive way. Reporting to the Director of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition, the Human Resources Generalist interacts with all functional departments across the company, and partners with management acting as a strategic planner.

We carry over 4,500 brands across 2000+ different product categories.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducts various on-boarding and off-boarding activities including performing exit interviews and making recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Conducts feedback interviews for new hires at 30-60-90 days.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Counsels and provides guidance to management with regard to corrective action procedures.
- Responds to and facilitates resolution of employee relations issues including but not limited to complaints and harassment allegations.
- Help set, document and maintain procedures for HR processes (best practices/standard operating procedures).
- Support the performance management process by training on the system, helping set goals, answering questions, ensuring participation, etc.
- Maintains and processes unemployment claims in a timely, efficient manner and attends unemployment hearings when necessary.
- Ensures compliance with USCIS Form I-9/E-Verify.
- Maintains employee personnel files.
- Manages internal offer process for promotions and agency conversions.
- Cross-train on other duties within team and provide backup to day-to-day administration of benefit plans, reception, payroll processing, etc.
- Communicates with employees and management to ensure compliance with human resources policies, procedures, laws, standards and government regulations.
- Administers leave programs including FMLA, STD, LTD and Workers Comp.
- Work closely with payroll to ensure the accuracy of pay related data processed on a bi-weekly basis.
- Perform various office management tasks and coordination of lunch programs.
- Other projects as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills & Requirements
- At least 5+ years progressive Human Resources experience.
- Bachelor's degree with a major or emphasis in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field required.
- PHR or SPHR preferred.
- This role is based in Bannockburn, IL, but travel as needed to the Aurora, IL or Logan, UT distribution centers.
- Employee relations skills - must be able to manage employee concerns in a strong, but diplomatic fashion.
- Solid understanding of employment laws.
- Ability to work with all levels within the organization and coordinate with vendors.

- Ability to maintain extreme confidentiality and remain at a professional leadership level.
- Ability to represent the Ecentria brand to all vendors and customers.
- Experience with MS Office and ADP Workforce Now preferred.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently, but also under the supervision of the Senior Human Resources Manager.
- Typing, texting, telephone communications, presentation skills, public relations skills, account management skills, seeing, hearing, sitting, walking, strong written & verbal communication skills, ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
