Job Summary:

The Contracts Manager 2 will be responsible for the life cycle of customer leasing documents from origination to final document execution. The Contracts Manager 2 works directly with the WF Rail Sales team, other internal stakeholders and customers as needed. A cooperative team attitude is critical to the success of this position and includes a willingness to take on additional functions as needed and offer assistance to others, including those from other departments. This position is a mid-level position and is intended to prepare the incumbent for a Contract Manager 3 role.

Essential Duties:

  • Draft and revise customer leasing documents, including, but not limited to Master Lease Agreements, Riders, Termination Agreements, and Amendments, accurately and in compliance with all Wells Fargo Policies and Procedures.
  • Review customer requested changes to contract documents, work with appropriate stakeholders for feedback/approvals and revise the documents as necessary using Microsoft Word track changes. Requests for stakeholder feedback should include information regarding past precedence for specific provisions and customer specific preferences and previous approvals.
  • Accurately enter pertinent information into Rail Administration and Integrated Leasing System (RAILS) /Contract Profile to ensure accurate and timely billing. Update lease and/or customer related data in the RAILS/Contract Profile system, as required. Review files for completeness and sign-off in RAILS/Sales Transaction accordingly.
  • Update and maintain E-File as assigned. Ensure executed contracts, supporting documentation, correspondence and approvals are saved to WF Rail's document management system.
  • Advise Sales Team on deal entry in Salesforce and best way to structure contract documentation.
  • Ensure all documents are complete, accurate, distributed appropriately and in compliance with WF Rail policies and procedures.
  • Research documents in connection with inquiries from internal and external customers.
  • Consistently demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills and proactively communicate both internally and externally.
  • Must have the ability to read and understand various lease/contract agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of rail leasing experience, contract administration experience, or a combination of both demonstrated through work or military experience

  • Paralegal Certificate from an ABA accredited paralegal program or Juris Doctorate
  • Rail/leasing experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3 years of rail, contract administration, leasing, or legal experience, or any combination thereof.
  • Must have ability to gather facts, summarize underlying situation, problem solve and propose a resolution.
  • Must have at least 2 years of experience reviewing and redlining contract documentation.
  • Excellent oral and written communications including an ability to clearly, concisely and effectively interact with internal and external customers via telephone, emails, letters, etc.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment while maintaining a high level of customer service productivity, and work accuracy, all within established deadlines.
  • Must be flexible and demonstrate an ability to work well under pressure and within fixed deadlines.
  • Proven ability to multi-task and appropriately prioritize job responsibilities.
  • Highly organized, have a great attention to detail and be able to recognize when terms and conditions are non-standard.
  • Above average analytical skills and must be detail oriented including superior proof reading skills.
  • Demonstrated team player that works well with others.
  • Strong computer aptitude is a must, especially in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
