Essential Functions

  • Distributes all Illinois Gaming Board (IGB) license applications and Rivers Casino onboarding paperwork to job offered candidates for both external hires and internal transfers.

  • Coordinates, schedules, and completes onboarding appointments for job offered candidates.

  • Reviews all incoming IGB license applications and company onboarding forms.

  • Manages, tracks, and resolves all issues pertaining to Team Member licensing with the Illinois Gaming Board. Keeps management informed.

  • Creates timely distributes recurring reports and updates in the required and specified formats.

  • Conducts on-site drug testing for all job offered candidates and maintains records of testing results.

  • Coordinates and completes on-site state fingerprinting appointments.

  • Communicates with IGB offices to inform of upcoming appointments, request license status updates, and to provide updates on pending applications.

  • Responds to IGB requests for updates and information.

  • Communicates license approval status to coordinate employment start via phone and e-mail.

  • Assist with full-cycle recruitment of assigned requisitions supporting a 24/7/365 business operation.

  • Represents the casino at recruitment events as the employer of choice.

  • Manages inventory levels of onboarding related supplies including drug testing kits.

  • Manages candidate and department expectations with onboarding timeline.

  • Continuously looks for opportunities to improve processes and effectiveness.

  • Performs duties with a high degree of accuracy.

  • All other duties as assigned by HR Manager, Director or Vice President.

Requirements

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent work experience, preferably in Human Resources.

  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office and/or Google's G Suite.

  • Eligible to become an Illinois notary.

  • Previous state/federal regulated work experience is preferred.

  • Self-starter with keen ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Frequent sitting, standing, typing, and writing.

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and days of the week including holidays.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary state and employment related licensing.
