Your profile

• · We would like to get to know you, if you have a professional education or a degree from a university in preferably engineering or, trade, legal etc.
• Your graduation from university or at least 1 year experience in the field of customs classification (customs tariff and (non/preferential) origin determination) convinces us to have found the right candidate.
• First international experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a plus.
• Best case for you would be to have first experience in the work in customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC.
• Fluent language skills in Romanian, as well as English are a must. German language skills would be a plus.
• Negotiation, presentation, and assertiveness are attributes that describe you the best.
• A quote of business travels of 5-10 % fits to your expectation of the job.

Your responsibilities

• · You work in a team responsible to ensure customs classification and origin management, on behalf of other Siemens Energy legal entities from different countries. Within this responsibility you gather data/documentation, determine the correct customs classification (tariff), and the preferential as well as the non-preferential country of origin.
• · In this task you will follow the internal rules and regulations as established by your organization and the relevant legal entity you work for.
• · You and your team colleagues are responsible for
• 1. Identifying the required information for customs classification and gathering this information from systems and/or colleagues of the relevant departments such as engineering, R&D and other technical areas.
• 2. Analyzing and classifying goods according to customs regulations and taking into consideration technical attributes required for the classification process
• 3. Analyzing trade documents from suppliers, associations and other relevant market players to properly identify and document the county of origin of products
• 4. Calculating and determining the country of origin (preferential and non-preferential)
• 5. Monitoring and controlling those processes
• While performing your tasks, you always have an open mind to identify and report room for improvement and process flaws.
• You actively participate in team growth efforts.
• You report to the team lead Customs classification located in Bucharest.
