Associate Content Editor

We seek an Associate Video Content Editor to join our Evanston, Illinois location to create and update videos for our software products. The ideal candidate for this role is highly independent and self-motivated; they will also work closely with subject matter experts such as software developers, QA analysts and product management. Overall, the role involves delivering highly technical video content to our internal teams for client projects. The ideal candidate has experience creating overview and training material which can be consumed by general audiences.

Responsibilities

• Connect with subject matter experts and proactively manage your own learning to become familiar with our software;
• Take lead on creating video content on our software products;
• Manage online repository of videos while meeting deadlines;
• Develop and propose video repository plans and outlines for new projects; estimating project length and keeping everyone involved on time;
• Work collaboratively across multiple teams to create internal-facing videos which will be used by very technical audiences, such as software developers, Administrators and Configurators;
• Enhance and maintain existing videos to deadline;
• Proactively participate in project planning and scheduling;
• Work with project manager and subject matter experts to implement timely and effective edits until videos are ready for publication on time;
• Suggest improvements to videos, our style guide, and processes whenever possible;
• Adhere to design template and company style guide while organizing and writing documentation;

Qualifications:

• Post-Secondary level education w/ proficiency in English required. (BS/BA in English preferred.)
• 1-3 years of video creation experience, preferably with training material on software products and applications.
• Work samples of videos you've created; please provide at our request.
• A Computer Science background is preferred but not required;
• Experience with video capturing and editing required.
• Experience with Camtasia, Zoom or similar video capturing tool required. Camtasia is preferred.
• Experience learning about and communicating technical topics, such as web-based software development and platform development;
• Superior writing, editing, and communication skills;
• Outstanding organizational/time management, planning and prioritization skills.

ZS is a global consulting firm; fluency in English is required, additional fluency in at least one European or Asian language is desirable.
