(Currently working remote but will return to office - must be willing to relocate or currently live in the Chicagoland area)

General Overview

This position supports the Donor Engagement team, responsible for strategically developing and distributing global philanthropic communications in support of The Rotary Foundation. The Donor Engagement Coordinator is essential to the success of the team by providing excellent customer service and support of our global donor base, collaborating with multiple departments to identify donor contribution information, manage our Annual Fund inbox, administer our Corporate Matching Gifts Program, create and distribute monthly donor thank you emails, and actively keep our communication production calendar updated with current project management status reviews.

This role will assist with donor communication analysis, take on additional research and publication projects relating to the team's philanthropic communication strategy, help administer peer-to-peer fundraising initiatives, and provide team administrative support. Your contributions will help increase donor engagement to meet our financial goals which will ultimately help strengthen communities around the world.

You Will Have

* Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)
* 3 years' experience in non-profit fund development
* 2 years' experience in fundraising and stewardship communications
* Advanced experience with Microsoft Office, social media channels, and donor management platforms including Raiser's Edge, Oracle, NetFORUM, Business Intelligence, and mass email platforms such as Adestra
* Ability to create dynamic presentations as needed to help promote Annual Giving
* Exceptional attention to detail, project management, and committed to providing professional, high quality customer service to donors and volunteers at all levels
* Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a team to meet deadlines
* Proficient with data manipulation, analysis and communicating information concisely
* Able to multitask, identify areas for improvement, and exceed goals in a timely fashion

You Will Be Responsible For

Manage our Annual Fund Inbox

* Provide excellent customer service and support by answering email inquiries from our members, donors, and prospective donors
* Triage inquiries that may need to go to another team
* Respond and track responses received from mass email communications sent out by the Donor Engagement team

Administer our Corporate Matching Gifts program

* Confirm matching gift requests and collaborate with Accounts Receivable on gift details
* Create and distribute quarterly thank you emails to Corporate Matching Gift participants
* Analyze program results and track trends to contribute to overall fundraising goals

Manage Donor Engagement Communication Calendar Updates

* Assist in transferring updates to the Polio and Philanthropy communication calendar
* Help team organize over 90 philanthropic communication campaigns
* Inform Polio and Philanthropy Project Specialist of major initiatives to share with staff

Provide overall Annual Fund and Leadership Giving Administrative Support

* Assist with publication management and the creation or presentations as needed
* Coordinate meetings, take notes, and distribute action items
* Maintain internal portal and team pages

Monthly Donor Thank You Emails

* Create and distribute monthly donor thank you emails
* Analyze donor lists, summarize results, and recommend future updates
* Target current donors and the global Rotary volunteer structure with meaningful stewardship communications
