Your Opportunity:
The Financial Analyst - Trade is responsible for overseeing and monitoring the Trade functions while building key relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance and driving department efficiencies and automation. The role is also responsible for managing the Trade close process including reviewing all closing entries and analyzing overall Trade accrual balances. This person will serve as the principal point of contact and resource for questions and issues related to Trade.
Employee will have the capacity to work 80% remote.
Core Responsibilities:
Manage the Trade close process including reviewing all closing entries and analyzing overall Trade accrual balances.
Drive effective communication across all Smithfield business managers, financial planning group, and with both internal and external customers.
Manage Aramark Differentials (Actual Markets via Comtell vs. SMF Price List).
Prepare monthly broker commission reports by division, region and product category for Senior Management and Sales.
Monitor Indirect Trade Rates used in calculating accrual via Blacksmith Indirect Template.
Review Final Settlement of Trade Deals in Blacksmith and its financial impact.
Oversee the closing of Trade agreements and determining proper disposition of remaining funds to the P&L.
Responsible for monthly close review for all Trade accrual accounts.
Responsible for monthly close Journal Entries for Trade.
Responsible for Trade reporting & analysis
Responsible for Trade Account Reconciliations & Validations
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley requirement for disbursement and accruals are met.
Recommend and implement changes in financial reporting to management and field staff to help in managing accruals, identify unusual items, and hold responsible parties accountable.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited four-year college or university and 2+ years of relevant experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and/or experience; required.
Knowledge of SAP is required
Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Blacksmith
Understanding of order to cash process.
Demonstrated ability to follow specific procedures and guidelines.
Ability to multi-task with changing priorities and customer needs.
Must work with a sense of urgency and produce high volume of work with accuracy.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, as well as solid organization and time management skills.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact with internal departments.
Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.
