Job Description

The Chemist I will work under the direct supervision of the Chemist III assisting and performing sample preparation and analysis of client's samples. This position is focused on the correct testing of specimens to comply with internal procedures, industry standards, and written instructions.

  • Work under the direct supervision of the Senior Chemist / Chemist Level III to perform analyses of client samples
  • Perform routine operations, maintenance, calibration, qualification, and ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment/instruments
  • Day-to-day Sample preparation for the final analysis
  • Day-to-day operational activities of Chemistry Lab housekeeping, maintaining of notebooks, etc.,
  • Support SGS in such a manner as to fulfill the company's mission statement, quality objectives, and safety objectives
  • Adhere to internal standards, policies, and procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry (Required)
  • No experience necessary
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook)
