Overview:
Location: Mount Sterling, IL Department: Accounting Reports To: Accounting Manager

Your Role: Performs clerical and accounting support duties for the Accounting department.

Performs specific duties associated with closing the accounting records at period and year-end.

Assists in processing the company annual budget.

Assists in handling the department's cash work.

Performs bank and general ledger account reconciliations.

Follows and applies standard work and work instructions

Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

Role Specifics:

Full Time

Schedule: 8:00 - 5:00 Monday through Friday; some schedule flexibility available

Qualifications:
We Need You To Have:

High school diploma or General Equivalency Degree

Experience with Microsoft Excel and Word

Strong organization and multi-tasking skills

Good interpersonal and communication skills to deal with internal and external contacts

We'd Like You To Have:

Associate's Degree

Interest and capability to learn and master new software

Basic Accounting knowledge from prior work experience or education

Strong analytical skills and problem-solving skills
