Job Title: Chemist
Contract duration: 06+ months with possibility to extension
Work Location: 1 N Waukegan Road AP31 North Chicago IL 60 United States

Job Description:
Should possess an understanding of analytical chemistry theories (including HPLC basics) and have experience in wet lab bench skills (e.g. buffer preparation, weighing, pH measurement).

Essential Functions:

• Perform a variety of complex solution preparations in a GxP environment.
• Responsible for laboratory balance weight checks, pH meter standardizations.
• Laboratory maintenance (e.g. ordering & receiving supplies; waste disposal management; lab safety checks)
• Perform analytical procedures to test biopharmaceutical compounds for release and stability testing in a GxP environment.
• Work with multiple groups to meet business needs.
• Plans and organize work with periodic supervision.
• Problem solving, either independently or with assistance, pertaining to experiment and/or instrumentation problems.
• Perform work assignments accurately and in a timely and safe manner.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification

Strong communicator, team player, & eager to learn

Description:

Entry level skills, BS Chemistry fresh grad. Familiar with wet bench skills, using pH meters, titrations, HPLC.
