Job description

Smart Resources and Accountable Search is in search of a Digital Marketing Director for one of our clients in Oakbrook, IL. This is a direct hire opportunity, the client is seeking a sharp, data-driven marketing technologist with 7-10 years' experience to champion their digital marketing strategy, oversee campaign execution, partner with sales management to optimize lead generation and move us to the next stage of digital excellence.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrates highest standards of personal and professional integrity, adheres to company's policies and procedures, and complies with applicable laws, government rules and regulations.
  • Create a clear path for digital marketing efforts consistent with best-in-class digital practices and experiences.
  • Aid in the digital transformation of sales efforts and translate sales challenges into digital plans ensuring consistency and relevance across programs.
  • Determine improvements to support scale and automation of marketing and sales distribution process while optimizing for effectiveness.
  • Evaluate and implement new tools and programs to improve workflows for marketing and sales; present actionable business opportunities.
  • Gain understanding into customer needs through collection of competitive landscape analysis, audits, A/B testing, usage/success analysis; making adjustments to strategy and execution as needed.
  • Spearhead development and management of customer journey including, but not limited to website content, emails, campaigns.
  • Present findings and recommendations effectively and with conviction on a regular basis to Vice President, Investments Marketing, marketing team and sales leadership.
  • Set overall website and campaign strategy and direction; align with sales priorities and marketing strategies to drive awareness and engagement.
  • Hands-on approach to mentoring team members, driving the team collectively towards success.
  • Participate in digital agency management by attending regular check-ins to ensure alignment.
  • Manage appropriate external vendor relationships and service agreements.
  • Other duties as assigned.


The Expertise And Skills You Bring:

  • Highly motivated, natural leader and self-starter with a sense of ownership and desire to succeed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, project management and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Experience in HubSpot, Salesforce and Google Analytics preferred.
  • Expertise in list segmentation and customer experience and personalization.
  • Understanding of website standards, website architecture, development and operations, SEM/SEO, social media, paid digital media, data analytics, reporting and insights.
  • Experience with both retention and acquisition digital marketing efforts a plus.
  • Expert in website analytics, campaign tracking, tagging, web testing, and tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, computer science, digital marketing or equivalent discipline.
  • 7-10 years of relevant digital marketing/strategic experience; financial services experience preferred.
